What really gets me is they say this out of one corner of their mouth to the rank a file, then have the nerve to say we don't break up families. What a load of crap!!!!!!

What does it take to become a Circut Overseer?
by frankiespeakin inwhat does it take to become a circuit overseer?.
the watchtower bible track society relies very heavily upon these men to make sure that they have a tight grip on each congregation.. the structure for control that the wt.
has in place needs it's eyes and ears to find out whether or not a congregation is following all the rules that the wt has laid out for it.

A big book bag--for all the wt bs.
years of training to develope lack of feelings
A calculator--to see how the congregation is really doing.
Sometimes, not always---a snotty wife who gives you a lot of personal opinions.

What JW belief/idea do you disagree with the most ???
by run dont walk inis there a particular belief/doctrine that really burns you up and makes you wonder how people could believe this, and did you as a loyal jw at one time believe in it (your most hated belief), what made you change your mind ???.
for me, i always enjoy reading the history of the watchtower (1879-1974), and how things constantly change from year to year.
the sodom and gomorrah question is hilarious .

The one that really gets me is that a little baby shouldn't have blood to save its life because that a sin. I wonder if the old farts in New York had the guts to go to a hosiptal, look at an inocent little baby and tell that one, "we think it is better for you to die than live" What makes these morons ever think they have that right? For a parent to give up their live for thier child is noble. ASKING FOR A CHILD TO GIVE UP THEIR LIFE FOR THEIR PARENTS BELIEF SYSTEM IS A CRIME.

The boring and uneventful lives of a JW
by YellowLab ini faded as a jw about 8 years ago.
to me the meetings were just plain boring as hell and so "robotic".
i never did feel true love amongst the brothers and sisters as they always like to tout.

What JW Teaching Did You Never Quite Totally Accept???
by minimus insince i was raised a witness, it was only as i got older that i started to "think" about what i was teaching and believing.
but even as a young teen, i never accepted the thought that 1975 was going to be the end of the "system of things" and the beginning of the "new system".
i just didn't quite believe that.........what belief or teaching did you have a "hard time swallowing"?

The last time the book of Daniel was studied the borg's history of the king of the North and the King of the South seemed like grasping for straws. By the way watchtower, where is that King of the North now?

Elders once a year check-up on DF ones.
by Blueblades inwe got this call from one of the elders who df'd one of our loved ones.he wanted to know where so and so lives, phone # etc.this after two and a half years.they wanted to make contact to see if that one wanted to return to the congregation.
( not like the prodigal, who was restored on the spot by his father, rather ,by sitting for six months in the back of the hall and given the silent treatment.
he admitted tha elders can't read the heart and make mistakes 'mistakes' destroying someones life is a mistake??

You're Going To Get A Whippin' !!!
by Perry infor those who were raised/born in the truth: .
1. were you ever beaten as a child?
and, i mean where the parent really crossed the line, not just spanking.
-

I knew of a young brother about 13 who was whipped with a garden hose as punishment. He lied to the school authorities when they noticed the marks on his back. His jerk father eventually became the PO of a congregation. The boy left the borg, wonder why?

I need public/court records about what really happened in 1919
by truthseeker inthe society teaches that in 1919, jehovah and jesus christ inspected them (when they were still known as bible students) and promptly released them from babylonish captivity by freeing the officers of the watchtower bible & tract society from prison.. .
are there any public or court records to substantiate evidence against them, that they were released only by agreement that they would not publish certain chapters of a book, i can't remember the title .
in return the government agreed to release them.. .

Another case of the WT re-writing history to suit themselves. What a bunch of liars they are about their history.

If You Could Write Articles For The Watchtower What Would The Titles Be?
by minimus inif you had the power to print millions of watchtowers & awakes and you could see to it that the articles that you wrote got to all the readers, give a sampling of what the articles highlighting "spiritual food" would say.
